Drug trafficking charges laid in Rocky Bay

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a 47-year-old from Rocky Bay First Nation.

NIPIGON – Officers from the Anishinabek Police Service and the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police recently investigated drug trafficking in the First Nation Territory of Rocky Bay after receiving complaints from the public.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a 47-year-old from Rocky Bay First Nation.

The OPP stated on January 9 that the accused was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamines.

The individual is remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing.
