NIPIGON -- An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared at the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital long-term care home.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and the facility's management made the announcement Saturday morning.
The outbreak management team has completed a thorough assessment of the situation in collaboration with the TBDHU.
Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation.
The team is requesting that you only visit the hospital and long-term care home if it is absolutely essential.
An outbreak is declared when there are two or more confirmed cases.
