Conservation officers detain alleged intoxicated driver

The incident happened on Oct. 20 near Terrace Bay.

TERRACE BAY — OPP in Terrace Bay arrested an impaired driver. 

During a vehicle check on Oct. 20 around 7:30 p.m., Schrieber provincial police were notified by a conservation officer with MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources) about a person who was being detained on Mill Road. 

Once police investigated, a 43-year-old Terrace Bay resident was arrested for impaired driving. 

Their license was immediately suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Schreiber.
