CONSTANCE LAKE FIRST NATION — A resident of Longlac and three people from Constance Lake First Nation face charges following the seizure of drugs and guns at a local residence.
Nishnawbe Aski Police Service executed a search warrant Tuesday as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking at that address.
Officers seized 15 firearms, a crossbow, and quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine tablets, crystal meth, oxycodone, lorazepam, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
The estimated street value of the drugs is $40,000.
A 34-year-old Longlac man, 53-year-old and 55-year-old men from Constance Lake, and a 28-year-old woman from Constance Lake are charged with possession of controlled drugs for trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm.
Two of the accused were arrested at the residence, while the other pair was apprehended during a traffic stop.
All four people were released from custody with conditions and a promise to appear in court in mid-July to answer to the charges.
