Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board.

Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board trustees have had their honoraria adjusted for their current term in office.

Chair Gary Trembinski will receive $12,200 while Vice-chair John Caputo will get $9,450.

Trustees Carol Amadio, Brent Bissaillion, John Bruno, Tony D’Agostino, Lindsay Liske, Carol MacEachern, Kathleen Rosilius and Sandra Turco will receive $6,700.

Trembinski, Caputo and their fellow trustees will each make $25 less in 2024.

In 2022-23, the chair received $12,225, the vice-chair $9,475 and trustees $6,725 in 2022.

Trustees’ pay is derived from a base amount and enrolment amounts and needs to be calculated annually, wrote Justin Pino, the board's superintendent of business, in a report prepared for Wednesday’s board meeting.

The new rate of pay is effective Nov. 15.

“The Trustee Honoraria is based on Average Daily Enrolment as of a March count date. When comparing March 2022 to March 2021, enrolment was slightly lower. The Board saw much of its enrolment increase in September after the count date,” Pino wrote in an email to SooToday.
