A driver from southern Ontario has been charged after a crash north of Wawa earlier this week.
Shortly after 5 a.m. on July 25, officers with the Superior East detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were notified of a single-vehicle crash involving a commercial vehicle on Highway 17 approximately 10 km north of Wawa.
When officers arrived on scene, the vehicle was on its side and blocking both lanes of traffic.
The highway was closed for nearly six hours as the vehicle was removed from the scene.
A 24-year-old from Etobicoke has been charged with careless driving as a result of the crash.
