Call for service ends with drug bust, three arrested

TERRACE BAY — A call for assistance led police to arrest two people and seize suspected illegal drugs. 

Schreiber OPP received a call regarding a suspicious person at a home on Kenogami Road. 

In a release, police indicated that a female in distress entered the residence and then abruptly left with four individuals in a vehicle.

After locating the vehicle shortly thereafter, police arrested three individuals, two of which had outstanding warrants. 

During their investigation, police located suspected cocaine, crack cocaine and speed tablets. 

Two Marathon residents, aged 39 and 25, were arrested, and a 39-year-old from Pays Plat First Nation was also taken into custody. 

Two of the accused were released, and one was held for bail.
