LONGLAC — A boil water advisory will be in effect for Greenstone residents affected by a water shut-off on Monday until cleared by public health officials.
The Municipality of Greenstone had shut off the water in areas of Longlac to make repairs to a local waterline so the local water tower would not drain. The work was happening at the corner of Picnic Point Road and Kenogami Road and was expected to be completed later Monday.
Ontario Clean Water is conducting the sampling of water for testing in Thunder Bay.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit will advise the municipality when the advisory can be lifted.
