PIC RIVER—Biigtigong Nishnaabeg Pic River First Nations Social Services invites everyone to celebrate the inaugural Anishinaabe Giizhigad-Anishinaabe Day, June 6.

Grand Council Chief Reg Niganobe, Anishinabek Nation, is encouraging everyone to celebrate this important date, with the Anishinabek Nation, by watching the YouTube video for which the link is provided.
In his video presentation, posted on the Anishinabek Nation website, Grand Council Chief Reg Niganobe, spoke about the importance of strengthening and maintaining their culture, language, and inherit rights. “We assert that we have culture, have language, we have inherit rights bestowed to us by the Creator, we have Anishinabek Law and we have Anishinabek responsibility and we intend to fulfill these as Anishinabek Peoples.”
Biigtigong Nishnaabeg encourages everyone to mark this date on their calendars and visit the link provided so that they, too, can celebrate this important inaugural event.
