A 40-year-old woman died in a highway collision near Terrace Bay

The victim was a passenger in an SUV involved in a collision with a pickup truck Monday evening

TERRACE BAY — Ontario Provincial Police have identified a resident of Hornepayne as the victim of a fatal two-vehicle collision Monday evening on Highway 17.

The deceased 40-year-old woman was a passenger in an SUV that came into collision with a pickup truck just east of Terrace Bay at about 6:20 p.m.

Two other people suffered what OPP described as serious injuries, and were transferred to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Police said one, a man from Hornepayne, was driving the SUV.

The other injured person is a man from Terrace Bay, and was operating the pickup truck.

OPP continue their investigation into the collision.
