GERALDTON — Ontario Provincial Police in Greenstone have charged a 28 year-old woman with impaired driving after a traffic stop in Geraldton early Saturday morning.

According to the OPP, officers stopped a vehicle at 12:25 a.m. on Saturday on Main Street in Geraldton. Police said they subsequently determined the driver was impaired by alcohol; she was arrested and taken in for further testing.

The driver, who police say is from Longlac, was then charged with impaired driving and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.

The accused was released and is scheduled to be in court February 20.
