POSITION SUMMARY:

As part of the People & Culture division, the HR student position will work alongside the HR centers of excellence and operational teams to gain hands-on HR experience. Responsibilities will include providing ongoing support and executing day-to-day requirements such as administrative support, data analysis, delivering HR programs, process improvements and special projects.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Support employee and talent management programs (such as Performance Management, Mentorship, , Onboarding, Employee Engagement) in partnership with and HR colleagues.
  • Consult with HR Business Partners, People Leaders, and employees to understand business and HR requirements and integrate them into program development and delivery.
  • Foster a positive work environment and culture by supporting strategies for employee engagement.
  • Develop program support materials and activities such as user manuals, job aids, and guides in various formats.
  • Conduct best practice research on HR practices
  • and Assist in implementing evaluation processes and tools to ensure effective implementation of P&C programs and initiatives.
  • Extract, analyze and visualize HR data to support business decisions  
  • Produce reports and presentations of workforce trends
  • Support data audits to ensure data integrity in the HRMS
  • Assist with HR system troubleshooting, mass loads, transactional processing, end user support and process documentation

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a focus in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to self-motivate with a desire to learn new skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
