Position Objective:
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing transactional HR support to the Director of Human Resources, assisting with developing and implementing policy, procedures, recruitment, training, and onboarding. This role involves various tasks related to employee records, recruitment, payroll administration, benefits administration and maintenance, and communication. Administrative work will include filing correspondence and documents while maintaining an accurate, up-to-date HR filing system and personnel files.
Qualifications:
- A minimum requirement of a Post Secondary Diploma from an accredited College in Business or Office Administration.
- A minimum of three years experience in administration, providing administrative and coordination support.
Job Skills and Knowledge:
- Initiative and can work independently.
- Effective planning in solving or recommending resolutions to challenges/issues.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and foster relationships with employees.
- Administrative skills, including scheduling, records management, completing annual work plans, and completing quarterly reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (e.g. email, internet, word, excel and data management), including the ability to learn other software programs, as deployed by Kenjgewin Teg.
