You as Maintenance Planner at the Sault Area Hospital will:
Develop maintenance plans and set maintenance schedules in support of Engineering Team requirements and available capacity
Purchase order releases against established “blanket” in the Dynamics 365 system; collaborate with the corporate Purchasing Manager on the transition of expiring blankets and agreements
Responsible for the transactional process of Maintenance planning in the CMMS to ensure accurate Maintenance orders and purchase releases based on required dates; collaborate with Facilities Team to manage capacity constraints
Responsible for ensuring timely completion of Facilities work orders
Expedite and complete routine past due work orders follow up to support the Maintenance schedule
Generate work orders using CMMS
Release work orders to Engineering Team per the Maintenance schedule
Develop and execute improvements to focus on inventory reduction and material shortages
Responsible for gathering and reporting established planning metrics in support of the overall Facilities metrics.
Exercises initiative and independent judgment in adapting and applying procedures to address day-to-day activities
Regular interactions with functional department staff heads and other internal stakeholders, as well as external relationships with suppliers, customers and other EllisDon employees as required
Consults with manager when making decisions regarding complex or unusual circumstances

Is this the right role for you?
Post-Secondary Education in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field
Working knowledge of CMMS
APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), SCMP designation, or similar designation a strong asset
5+ years of experience in a Maintenance planning role within large facilities
Excellent computer skills, including advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, Access, etc.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles and working knowledge of Maintenance management preferred
Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high-paced environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
Results-oriented, self-motivated individual with a sense of initiative
Ability to work independently and as a team player, responding effectively to inquiries from internal clients
Capable of working on concurrent projects or supporting portions of larger, more complex projects following established guidelines preferred
