NIPIGON — A suspect from Southwestern Ontario was arrested after police recovered a stolen vehicle near Nipigon.
Provincial police said reports were received Thursday about a stolen vehicle from the Niagara region, with further investigation leading to suspicion that the driver was involved in a gas theft from a White River gas station.
Officers in Nipigon located the suspected vehicle and pulled it over during a traffic stop.
A 29-year-old man from Welland was arrested and is being held in custody for various charges, including several theft-related ones.
