Traffic complaint leads to impaired driving charges

WHITE RIVER — A 31-year-old faces impaired driving charges after police responded to a traffic complaint.

Provincial police said officers received a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 17 south of White River on Sunday.

Police found the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, with the investigation determining that the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages.

The driver, from Hamilton, faces two impaired driving charges and is due to appear in a Wawa court next month.
