Township of Manitouwadge seeks Professional Consulting Services for website development

MANITOUWADGE -- Third time’s the charm? There have been two official Township of Manitouwadge websites over the past 10 years, and the council is seeking to modernize it even more. They are searching for a qualified website design consultant/firm to create a new, streamlined website to replace the existing one.

The successful consultant will facilitate the implementation of the Township’s website design process, follow the guidelines within the application document, and ensure all components of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2015 standards are complied with. The deadline for application is March 18 at noon.

It is hoped that the individual or team with the winning bid will create a vibrant, accessible and easy to navigate website. The site should retain standard elements, such as contact numbers and links to social media, and include access to online forms and reports, but the addition of more interactive elements, such as emergency services alerts and information, will enhance the site and give the community much needed and timely information.

Other elements, such as information for residents and businesses about local events and things to do, audio and video streaming capability, access to taxation and financial information, as well as a planned blog, are pages that the Township hopes to include in the new website.
