Suspicious vehicle call leads to arrest, seizure of brass knuckles

MARATHON — Provincial police were called about a suspicious vehicle near Carden Cove Road.

Officers arrived Tuesday morning just after 8:30 a.m. and located the vehicle and the driver. After speaking with the driver, police determined they were impaired and were arrested for further testing.

A 38-year-old Marathon man was arrested for driving impaired, driving without a license, having over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public space, as well as having it readily available in the car.

Investigators also located brass knuckles in the vehicle, which were seized during his arrest.

The accused was released from custody and has a date with the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon in September.
