Students from two schools participate in a Tri-sport tournament

TERRACE BAY—Superior North Catholic District School Board, shared that the two schools in their system got together to hold a “Tri-sport tournament”. With three separate sports to compete in, students and teacher coaches were ready to take on each team, and see who comes out victorious.

Holy Angels Catholic School in Schreiber hosted a Tri-Sport tournament with the Grade 7/8 class from St. Martin Catholic School in Terrace Bay. Teachers Mr. Fenton and Mr. Mauro were there to cheer their respective teams on.

The students played baseball, volleyball, and soccer and later enjoyed a pizza lunch along with other treats.

As each team took on the baseball field to show their batting skills, and the volleyball court to show their spike and serving skills, as it became an experience that not only allowed for some friendly competition, but more importantly, it facilitated team building and friendship.

Each school experienced a great day!  The Board shared how each class was able to engage get to know each other a little better, before graduating from elementary school and stepping into high school in the fall.
