SCHREIBER – Residents of Schreiber are being asked to conserve water due to a pump failure at the water treatment plant, according to Mayor Kevin Mullins.

“We've had a little bit of a problem up at the water treatment plant itself. The past pump has given up for now. So, we're just asking the public to conserve their water.”

Currently, the public water system is having trouble meeting the demands of the municipality.

Therefore, the municipality wants residents to limit their water use wherever possible, including discontinuing lawn and garden sprinkling.

The town has also temporarily shut off the Splash Pad.
