School boards welcome back staff

GREENSTONE -- Summer is coming to an end as teachers with the Superior Greenstone District School Board attend two professional development days Thursday and Friday.

Director of education Nicole Morden Comrier is thrilled to welcome staff back to the classrooms.

“They are going to be engaging in training that has been mandated by the Ontario College of Teachers and by the Ministry of Education and by the union,” Comrier said in an interview with CFNO.

“Staff are going to be looking at sexual abuse training, they are going to be doing all their health and safety training, they are going to be in meetings getting organized, really getting prepared to welcome our students back.”

Staff will be busy preparing for students to return on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
