RIDE program nabs suspected impaired driver

NIPIGON – A 45-year-old Gorham man faces impaired charges after a routine stop during a RIDE program in Nipigon.

Ontario Provincial Police say they conducted the stop at about 1 a.m. on Jan. 18 on Railway Street.

The accused failed the roadside screening and was charged with operation while impaired, alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

The accused was released by police with a future court date in Nipigon.
