NIPIGON – While Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police were out on patrol in the Hogan Road area, they pulled over a motor vehicle under suspicion of impaired driving.
After performing a traffic stop, the driver, a 48-year-old from Nipigon, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested and charged with impaired driving.
In addition to the driver’s impaired charge, officers determined the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance.
The driver was released from custody but is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Nipigon in October.
