OPP arrest 2 Greenstone men for break and enter

GREENSTONE – Two Greenstone-area residents face break and enter charges after OPP officers responded to an incident in Geraldton on Thursday.

Officers with the OPP’s Greenstone detachment responded to reports of a break and enter in progress at a Geraldton residence around 12:19 p.m.

Officers arrived on scene around five minutes later, finding two people inside the home’s garage.

Through an investigation, the OPP said officers “formed grounds to believe that both accused had broken into property,” and both were placed under arrest.

A 28-year-old Greenstone man faces a charge of break and enter and breach of probation, while a 29-year-old Geraldton man was charged with break and enter.

Both accused are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on Friday.
