MARATHON — A 23-year-old faces several charges after a business was broken into and a large amount of cigarettes were stolen.
Provincial police officers in Marathon responded to an alarm at a local business on Hemlo Drive on Saturday night, after someone forced their way into the building and took a large quantity of cigarettes.
As a result of their investigation, a 23-year-old from Marathon has been charged with breaking and entering, theft over $500, resisting a peace officer, and failure to comply with release orders.
The accused was released from custody but is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon at a later date, according to the Marathon OPP.
