MARATHON – The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) announced that they donated specialized Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) equipment to the North Shore fire department.

“We're really pleased to partner with the fire departments along the North Shore to donate some unused CBRN equipment to our local forces for their good use,” Adam Brown, Chief Executive Officer for NOSH, told Dougall Media.

Firefighters will now have access to decontamination equipment to aid them in hazardous emergencies such as chemical spills.

“We've had that equipment at both of our hospital sites for about 15 years and it's due for some upgrades. The local fire departments expressed an interest in using that equipment for the work that they do,” said Brown.

"So, we got the teams together and we'll have brand new refurbished equipment along the North Shore to service the communities.”

This collaboration between NOSH and local fire services underscores the importance of preparedness in safeguarding their communities.
