NIPIGON — Two people from Nipigon face multiple charges following an investigation by the OPP's community street crime unit.
Using search warrants, on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 officers first searched a vehicle, then searched a residence on Wadsworth Drive, where they found suspected cocaine, fentanyl and eleven firearms.
A 39-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were arrested at the scene.
They are both charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The man is also charged with operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code.
Both accused were remanded into custody after their initial appearance in court.
