Nipigon resident arrested for impaired driving

NIPIGON – Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Nipigon Detachment arrested and criminally charged with 80-year-old Nipigon resident for impaired driving after receiving a traffic complaint.  

At 7:15 p.m., on April 1, Officers found a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 11-17 in the Township of Nipigon.

As a result of the investigation, an 80-years-old Nipigon resident was criminally charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused will appear in Nipigon Court on June 6, 2023.
