SHUNIAH, Ont. – A 64-year-old from Longlac has died from their injuries after a three-vehicle collision on Highway 11/17 in Shuniah over the weekend.
The collision occurred near Mirror Lake around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, the Ontario Provincial Police reported.
The collision involved a transport truck and two passenger vehicles.
The victim, who police did not identify, was transported to hospital by Superior North EMS for treatment, and later succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
All others involved in the collision sustained minor injuries, police said.
The OPP North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team and OPP collision reconstructionists are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
