GREENSTONE – Police are describing a recent drug and property seizure in the Longlac area as massive.
In a release issued on Monday night, Ontario Provincial Police say a multi-jurisdictional investigation into trafficking and illicit drugs.
Executing four search warrants, police say the combined raids led to the seizure of 190 grams of methamphetamine, 155 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 10 grams of fentanyl, 14 grams of cocaine, 42 grams of crack cocaine.
The total estimated street value of the drugs exceeds $27,000.
Police also recovered $2,700 in cash, impounded a 2021 pick-up truck and a significant amount of property alleged to have been obtained by crime totalling approximately $150,000.
A 49-year-old male from Longlac, who was not named by police, has been charged with four counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Police in Thunder Bay, Marathon, Nipigon and Manitouwadge were also involved in the investigation.
