GPS leads to recovery of stolen tractor-trailer

SCHREIBER — Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of a transport truck in Western Canada.

Police were contacted Monday morning by a trucking company after one of their tractor-trailers was stolen from Saskatchewan over the weekend.

The company said the unit was equipped with GPS, which indicated it was parked on Lakeshore Road near Rossport.

Officers were able to locate the tractor-trailer, and also found the driver inside the cab.

A 41-year-old man from Red Deer, Alberta is charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

He's being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
