There may be another two weeks of summer officially left, but the fall chill is already being felt in the region.

Environment Canada issued a frost advisory on Monday for in-land portions of the Superior North region, including Greenstone, Armstrong and Lake Nipigon areas.

Temperatures overnight Monday into Tuesday are expected to drop to near freezing, which may be repeated Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

People in frost-prone areas are encouraged to cover and take other preventative measures for outdoor plants and frost-sensitive trees.
