PIGEON RIVER — A transport crash on the Canadian side of the Pigeon River Internation Bridge did not affect border crossings according to police.

An OPP spokesperson said the driver of a transport truck allegedly hit a lamp post and overturned, damaging four other vehicles, at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday.

The driver, a 54-year-old Winnipeg man, has been charged with careless driving.

Police said no injuries were reported. A guard rail appears to have prevented the truck from colliding with the border services building.

Police have not released the name of the accused.
