It is with a sad heart that we express the passing of our beloved sister, Maxine Tenander, on March 23, 2023.
Maxine left secure in the love and care of her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her, in particular her husband Martti Tenander, her sister Laura Hughes and brother Don Hughes (Sharon Hughes), her many nieces and nephew (Kathleen (Mike), Vincent (Cristina), Pamela (Jordan), Samantha) and her many grand-nieces and nephews.
Maxine loved Thunder Bay, and freely donated her time to her many passionate causes, including the Ontario Soroptimist clubs (a wonderful organization for the empowerment of women), the Lutheran Community Care organization, the Alzheimer’s Society, and Hilldale Lutheran Finnish Church, to name a few.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 in the chapel of Sargent and Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street.
